Contigo Introduces Temperature Sensing and Alerting
VANCOUVER, BC (April 24, 2014) Contigo, a leading provider of turn-key GPS solutions for fleet management, asset tracking and personal safety is pleased to introduce Contigo Temperature Sensing and Alerting.
Owners of fleets transporting food and other perishable goods can now receive proactive warnings when trailers or other vehicle compartments are approaching unsafe temperature thresholds. They can also review historical temperatures for an entire trip including when the vehicle is being loaded and unloaded.
“Product spoilage is very costly for business owners and can affect fleets of all sizes,” remarked Matt Naish, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Contigo. “Customers transporting perishable goods, like food, needed the ability to ensure their goods were delivered safely and within the appropriate temperature range. Now, corrective action can be taken before spoilage occurs. Reduced costs and better quality of service translate to better profitability for our customers.”
