Contigo Extends Power of Handheld Applications in the Field
VANCOUVER, BC (June 10, 2014) Contigo, a leading provider of turn-key GPS solutions for fleet management, asset tracking and personal safety is announcing additional field worker handset applications.
Contigo's lone worker solution, marketed as Telus Alert and Assist, is now available as an app across iOS, Android, and BB10 platforms. This means that customers can deploy the lone worker solution on their platform of choice, or ensure that their lone worker solution supports a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment. Where handsets are already an integral part of many corporate environments, Alert and Assist can now be easily added to existing devices used by employees. This expands the suite of offerings for Telus Alert and Assist.
In addition, for Contigo's Ride Along service, providing vehicle, asset, and personnel location information, the handset application GPS Fleet Tracker is now available on iOS7. This enables users to more quickly and effectively access their fleet information and view fleet vehicle locations, by taking advantage of the ease of use and more powerful user interface in the most recent Apple operating system releases.
“Contigo's product offerings take advantage of the trend in the workplace to push more functionality and information out to field workers,” remarked Matt Naish, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Contigo. “These improvements demonstrate Contigo's prowess and expertise in handset applications. With these developments, Contigo can assist businesses of all sizes in making mobile workers more effective, efficient and safe.”
